Privacy policy

Last updated 20 October 2026

This policy explains how Digitalist Institute of Innovation & Technology ("DIT") handles your personal data when you use digitalist.co.in, register for a programme, contact us or attend a class. Digitalist Institute is responsible for the information it collects through these services. This policy describes our practices and the choices available to you under applicable Indian law.

What we collect

  • When you book, apply or join a waitlist: your name, email and mobile number, and anything you choose to tell us (for example, your background in a fellowship application, or a child's first name, age and grade on the GenZ-AI form, which a parent or guardian completes).
  • What you booked, the add-ons you chose, and your payment status. Card and bank details go directly to Razorpay; we never receive them.
  • If you arrive from an ad or campaign link, the campaign tags in that link (such as utm_source), so we know which campaigns work.
  • Messages you send us, your communication preferences, and application or attendance information you provide. Our service providers may process technical information such as your IP address, browser and device information, access logs and message delivery status to operate and protect the services.

How we use it

  • To confirm your booking and send joining links, reminders and the resources for your class.
  • To send WhatsApp messages, only if you ticked the WhatsApp box.
  • To send news about new workshops and programmes, only if you ticked the news box. Every such email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To review fellowship applications and contact waitlist families.
  • To answer support requests, maintain certificates and accounting records, prevent misuse, and meet applicable legal obligations.

Who processes it for us

We use Razorpay for payments, Lovable Cloud for website infrastructure and stored records, email delivery services, WhatsApp Business and Meta for WhatsApp communication, and Zoom for live classes. We share information needed for these services, not your full records indiscriminately. These providers also handle information under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users and prevent fraud.

Cookies and storage

Your browser stores a few small items for the site itself, such as campaign tags for your visit and your preferences. You can restrict cookies or clear browser storage in your browser settings, although this may affect some website functions. Embedded Google Drive review videos or YouTube players contact the relevant provider when you choose to load them; those providers may process device information and use cookies under their own policies.

How long we keep it

We keep booking records for as long as we need them for your classes, certificates, and our tax and accounting obligations. Ask us to delete the rest at any time.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe from news emails with the link in any email.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it.
  • To withdraw WhatsApp or marketing permission, contact us using the email or phone below. You can also reply STOP to request that WhatsApp marketing ends.
  • Raise a privacy complaint with us and ask how to exercise any additional rights available under applicable law. We may ask for enough information to verify your identity before releasing or changing records.

Withdrawing marketing permission does not require you to cancel your course. Necessary booking, payment and class communications may still be sent by email. Deletion requests are subject to records we must retain for legal, accounting or legitimate service purposes.

Security and international processing

We use access controls and security measures to protect stored information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Some providers may process information outside India; any such processing remains subject to applicable law and provider safeguards.

Class recordings and published stories

Sessions may be recorded for course resources and quality purposes. Contact us before a session if you have concerns about appearing in a recording. Alumni stories, reviews and identifiable promotional photos are published with permission. Request removal using the contact details below. Please do not share sensitive information in public class chats.

Children

GenZ-AI is for ages 10–16, and its admission form is completed by a parent or guardian. We ask only for the child's first name, age and grade, plus the parent's contact details. Children are never asked to create accounts on tools they're too young for: for under-13s, any ChatGPT use is done by the trainer or another adult, and teens use such tools only with parental permission. We only share photos from children's programmes with parents' permission.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest revision. Material changes will be communicated where required.
